Charleston

Capital of West Virginia

Charleston is the capital of West Virginia and the seat of Kanawha county. It is the largest city in WV and is located in the Allegheny Mountains. Charleston was nominated to become the state capital in 1870, but it took seven years and a popular vote before it was moved there permanently. In Charleston, there are many landmarks and places to visit such as the gold-domed State Capitol, the Governor’s Mansion, the West Virginia State Museum and Theater, and The Clay Center. First Response Restoration enjoys doing jobs in Charleston because even though it is a bigger city it still has the feel of a tight-knit community.

The Sunroom

The picture on the right is a job that was completed in the Charleston area. This beautiful sunroom had suffered some interior damage due to a flashing issue on the exterior windows. Baseboard and casing had to be removed in one corner to make repairs inside the wall cavity. Although there was not an extensive amount of damage, the homeowners were glad to get their sunroom back, and we were happy to assist. If you live in Charleston and have any job from remodeling to repair (or anything in between) please give us a call.
