The Team

Steve Ramey

Hello, my name is Steven Ramey and I am the owner and founder of First Response Restoration.  I live in Hurricane with my wife, Michelle, and our four children, Ann Marie, Khalil, Kyan, and Isabella. I graduated from Hurricane High School, then earned degrees in Mathematics and Engineering from Marshall University and WVU Tech.  From a young age, I have always wanted to build houses and I built my first house shortly after graduating from college.  Since then I have built over a hundred homes in the Hurricane Area.

Since establishing First Response Restoration in 2003, we have expanded our horizons by not just focusing on homebuilding. We have grown our repertoire to cover emergency services, remodeling, home repairs, electrical, heating and cooling, and plumbing in addition to homebuilding.  I am proud of the company I have created and what it has become today. We have a great staff of trustworthy and hardworking individuals who are sure to please our customers. I can always count on our project managers and employees to do a great job and treat our customers right.

Barbara Duty

Hi, my name is Barbara Duty and I am the office administrator, head of human resources, and lead estimator. I’m originally from Wyoming county and during my free time, I enjoy visiting with my family there including my two children, Krisalyn and Aaron, and their children Ambra-Lea, Avrik, Vexly, and Walker. I started working for First Response Restoration in 2014 and since that time my responsibilities and appreciation for the work that I do has grown exponentially.  I love the changing and evolving nature of this industry and meeting and working with great customers and co-workers.  I learn something new every day!

John Dial

Hello, my name is John Dial. I have been in the Fire/Water restoration business for close to 40 years.  For 35 of those years, I owned and operated my own highly successful and respected restoration company in the Huntington area.  After a very short retirement period, I missed working with customers and the guys so much that I decided to get back into the game with First Response Restoration in 2015.  When not helping to make customers whole again after a devasting loss, I enjoy spending time with my family.  I live in Barboursville with my wife Debbie. I also have two children – Johnny and Jenny and 3 grandchildren – Brandon, Dylan and Shelly.
